This item is patchwork leather. I saw nothing in the desc to indicate this at the time of my purchase, of course I saw nothing to indicate that it was solid leather either... So you can say that I made an assumption, and we all know where that leads. Overall, the MITECH Trading descriptions are very good with only a few exceptions, unfortunately this is one of them. Will buy from MITECH again, just not this or any other product that does not have a complete desc. Dave
