About our Sterlingcraft products. Sterlingcraft plating is a special alloy by blending Nickel, Copper and Zinc, commonly referred to as German Silver or Nickel Silver, which has the look of silver but will never tarnish. The nickel actually gives the silver color and tarnish-proof finish but it must be combined with copper and zinc if it is to be used for solid forged pieces. Sterlingcraft uses 100% German silver and nickel for forging and plating respectively. They use iron, steel, brass and zinc for base metals when plating. The Sterlingcraft plated finish is guaranteed to never tarnish. Our main customers for these products are catering businesses and airlines.
